THIRTY LEADING WINNING OWNERS MOSE G0LDBLATT HEADS THE LIST AFTER SUCCESSFUL CUBAN CAMPAIGN— C. B. IRWIN THE BIG WINNER AT TIJUANA— RECORDS SINCE JANUARY 1 With the beginning of spring racing at Bowie, Maryland. Saturday, many owners who did not take part in the winter campaigns at New Orleans, Havana. Tijuana and Mexico City will get into action. While no stake races are scheduled for decision at Bowie the purse endowment is of penerous proportions and a comfortable sum may be won during the twelve days of racing. There is, however, little prospect of any startling change being made in the standing of the thirty leading money-winning owners until the meetings at Havre de Grace, Pimlioo and in Kentucky get under way. For the present Mose Goldblatt reigns supreme with the snug sum of 6.S15 to show for his foray on the tropical island of Cuba. C. B. Irwin, the far western turfman, who finds Tijuana a profitable as well as an ideal winter racing ground, is second in the list with :».820 to his credit. The Goldapple Stable, which recently sold nearly all of its horses to Thomas Monahan, is third. This establishment would have been the leader but for the sale mentioned, as Rebuke won the Cuban Derby shuttly after and his winnings would have brought the total up in excess of that to the credit of Mose Goldblatt. The fact that fifteen of the thirty leaders have won in excess of 0,000 each is convincing evidence of the growing popularity and prosperity of winter racing. Here are the records of the thirty leaders from January 1 to and including the racing of March 30: Won in Leading Winner Won in Leading Winner 1921.
