MORVICH WORKS IN THE MUD NEW YORK. N. Y., April 12.— Benjamin Blocks Derby and Preakness candidate, Mor-vich, which was to have displayed his speed in a long work-out this morning, was forced by the storm of Tuesday night to a change of plans. The track was wet and jockey L. McAtee, who rode the colt, was orced to keep him ten feet from the inside rail throughout the mile. Starting at the half-mile post Morvich raced along at a gojd clip in the poor going, finishing the mile in 1:46%. He was fresh and eager to run at the finish. The fractional time for the workout was: 12%, 25%. 87%, 51%, 1:04%. 1:18%, 1:32%, 1:46%.
