i MAEBLE MEETS WITH MISHAP BOWIE. Md., April 12— J. K. L. Ross Marble, son of Ballot— Tiffany Blend, has I been placed on the shelf for some time to come. The Derby and Preakness candidate bowed badly yesterday after pulling up from a work-out at Havre de Grace. Marble was highly regarded by the stably and considered to have a good chance for the Kentucky prize. Trainer Henry McDaniel was going along slowly with the Ross trio, Spanish Maize, Marble and Mercutio, in their preparation for the Derby and the Preaknesa and the accident to Marble was a severe blow to the I trainer. Mr. Ross, who is at present in England, is expected back in time to see his colors ; . carried in the Derby or Preakness, as trainer McDaniel may decide. ■ ■ •« •«
