twomile course she equaled the track record hanging out 3 475 Her only other race since being sent to the stud was in the Charles L Appleton Memorial in which she gave an excellent account of herself though palpably short shortThis This performance of the sturdy old daugh ¬ ter of Ort Wells and Belle of Mayfalr made tho crosscountry race easily the feature of the program and her victory was a decidedly popular one oneThe The skies were overcast and there were occasional sprinkles of rain during the aft ¬ ernoon A chill in the air did not add to tha comfort for outofdoor sport and the at ¬ tendance was the smallest since the opening of the meeting although there was a good crowd on hand handSeven Seven went to the post for the Interna ¬ tional and it really proved a good race Roi Craig from the Greentree Stable was scratched but Soumangha was added to bear Kingdom H company The other with ¬ drawal from the overnight list was Sea Skipper but Joyful was left to carry the silks of Joseph E Wldener Others in the field were J S Cosdens Bullseye Mrs F Am ¬ brose Clarks The Trout and Joseph E Da vies Quecreek QuecreekOLD OLD 3IAEE JU3IPS FAULTLESSLY FAULTLESSLYFrom From a good start Sims went right out with the old black mare and raced along at a killing pace from the first jump saving ground all the way and jumping faultlessly The Trout ran second and Joyful Quecreek and Bullseye followed in order with the Greentree Stable pair bringing up the rear Through the field Belle of Bryn Mawr under slight restraint held to her lead and was jumping better than anything else in the field At the lower end of the field there was some closing up back of the mare and when the run through the back field was reached there was a general move to cut down her lead but Sims anticipated just such a move and shaking up his mount she held ber advantage advantageRight Right at the end she was swerving out and tiring but she lasted under an energetic ridij to be the winner while Bullseye readily saved second place from Quecreek QuecreekThe The race was worth 2GOO to the Canter ¬ bury Farm and the condition in which Jim Ilealy has the old mare now she should win another purse before the end of the steeple ¬ chase year yearGeorgo Georgo Odom started both Emotion and Bees Wax from the Robert L Gerry stable in the threequarters dash for threeyearold fillies and he declared to win with Bees Wax That Was the intention but Sandc had to come along with Emotion to save the day the task Emotion was an easy winner and Sherando from the Oak Ridge Stable just lasted to first pace Greentree Stables Irish Sea and Richard T AVilsoris Kirlilevington KirlilevingtonFrank Frank Keogh pursued different tactics with Bersagliere than have been used in his other recent starts Instead of going out with him he waited and the result should induce waiting with him In the future futureIrish Irish Sea and Klrklevington raced along in front but Keogh had Bersagliere outsido of them and well within striking distance Butwell was on the inside with Kirklevington and at the threeeighths post he made an effort to come through on the Inside As he did so Lyke shook up Irish Sea and held his lead But he did not shake off Bersagiier and after rounding the stretch corner Keogh made his first move Bersagliere came away readily when called on and he was under re ¬ straint through the last eighth eighthIrish Irish Brigadier had been racing last in the early stages but the others tired in front of him so that he was along in time to bo second while Violinist also beat Irish Sea Ege was the one to set the pace and was still showing the way and going fast a six ¬ teenth from home while Carroll was driving Sweep Hawk in an effort to catch the leader Through the last sixteenth Sweep Hawk ran straight and true and under the punishment just got up in the last strides to win by a head headIn In the meantime Solisa was also closing fast on the outside and she was beaten only half a length for second place by the tiring Ege EgeThe The start was a good one but Evelyn Saw ¬ yer swerved over toward the outside sharply and collided with Smattcr Pop and carried Solisa and Hot Muffin out badly badlyKimball Kimball Patterson will ship the B Harding horses to Montreal for the Blue Bonnets meeting there Jockey H Hamilton vill go with the stable stableAlfred Alfred Johnson was
