GE3AT SPORT AT DUFFERIN TORONTO Ont June 8 One of the most thrilling and sensational finishes ever wit ¬ nessed on the minor circuit in Canada marked the decision of the second race at Duficrin Park this afternoon Eight horses ran over the about fiveeighths course and as they raced through the final sixteenth the proverbial blanket would have covered all but one of them At the end less than a length separated the first from the second horse and not until the officials announced their decision were the spectators certain as to the order of placing When the num ¬ bers were hung up it was seen that Depend ¬ ence had caught the judges eye first Rag ¬ ged Robin was second and Bonna A third each separated by a nose while the last men ¬ tioned was but a head in front of Shore acres It was a wonderful sight and the enthusiasm of the spectators knew no bounds boundsAnother Another immense crowd was on hand to witness the second days sport offered by the Metropolitan Racing Association Ideal weather and track conditions prevailed and again the spectators were provided with a brand of racing similar to that which de ¬ lighted the tremendous gathering of yester ¬ day dayA A corking stretch struggle came in the seventh race a claiming race at one mile and a sixteenth Handfull Captain Evans and John Arbor finishing in the order named heads separating them at the end endAgain Again in the sixth it was a bitter struggle for first honors Anticipate outlasting Ne nette and Fleer in a terrific closing drive
