JUDGE MURPHY PLEASED OVER CHICAGO SITUATION ERIK. Pa.. June 20. — At the conclusion of the racing here tomorrow judge Joseph A. Murphy will leave for Chicago. "My reports on the situation there are most encouraging. We do not underestimate the task ahead of us at St. Louis and Chicago. But if we are to ever have racing again at these two great cities, some one must make the fight," stated the well-known official today. It develops that Carl Drake was acting for J. F. Ailen. a Cleveland broker, when he purchased Apple Jack II. from O. Wendell. Mr Allen Is a newcomer to the ranks of the owners If. San lers yesterday effected a trade of Minnie ji. to O. Wendell for The Colleen Bawn .1. J. Carrett announced today that he is shipping three horses from Phoenixvllle, Ia . to Conneaut Lake Park for the meeting which opens there on Saturday. T. B. Waters reports that his good mare My Grade will be out of racing again for some time. The leg on which she was severely l.i Iced during midsummer of last year filled up badly after her last race her,- and it will necessitate her being thrown out of training. »
