LOUISIANA WAYS PUZZLING NEW ORLEANS, La.. June 20— Shorn of the Tobin local option amendment the Butler anti-racing bill was favorably reported by the ways and means committee of the house . of representatives today. The bill had passed the senate, received an unfavorable report from the ways and means committee, gone to the legislative bureau with the amendment and then went back to the ways and 1 means committee for the favorable vote. Both the unfavorable and favorable votes were to the tune of eight to seven. The bill ! now goes back to the legislative bureau. The Johness anti-information bill was ; voted down in the senate, where it originated, by a vote of 19 to IT.
