Won driving; second and third the same. SAM MclSRIDE was taken to the middle of the truck on the stretch turn and, finishing fast, got up to outstay the tiring leaders. VAN PATRICK ran well in the going and pnsscnl HOT COAL in the last sixteenth. The latter raced into the lead, but tired in the linal drive. ATHLETE set a good pace to tlit stretch and quit. ANTILLES moved up rapidly on the outside after rounding the far turn, font tired after passing COLANDO into the lead and was driving to the limit to outstay TROOPER. The latter finished in resolute fashion and would have won in a few more strides. COLANDO set a good pace, but quit badly in the last sixteenth. NIGHTSTICK finished well. ELEANOR S. was far back in the early running, but closed a gap with a rusli in the middle of the track. DUKE JOHN, shuffled back at the start, slipped through on the in ido while rounding the first turn, but was brought very wide when entering the homestretch and tired after going to the front at the eighth post. ZOUAVE gained steadily from a slow start, HEREAFTER tired badly in the final sixteenth after setting a good pace to the stretch.
