I : LATONIAS FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION LATONIA, Ky., July 3. The 5,000 added Independence Handicap, at a mile and a half, which will feature tomorrows card, is rich in promise as a contest, regardless of what track conditions will prevail. With sunny skies an attendance rivaling that of Kentucky Special day will be on hand to witness Exterminators effort to record a successive victory in the stake, but on this occasion, under a crushing impost of 110 pounds, the highest known weight carried by any horse in a stake race on a Kentucky track. Last year the durable Kilmer representative carried 130 pounds to victory. There arc eleven named to start, with a probability of at least eight going to the post. Exterminator having the ante-post call, and he will probably rule the favorite. Some creditable trials were placed to the credit of some of the probable starters yesterday, but it was over a track that had not been watersoaked as yet. Minto II.s mile and a half in 2 :37 was done easily and the mile and a half by Radio was one-fifth of a second slower. Parader was hard held and ran his mile and a half in 2 :3S.
