ISEEK, REDUCTION IN TAX MONTREAL, Que., July 4. The tracks of the pro-ince will again take up with the provincial government the matter of taxation, it is said. Weather conditions hav? been unfavorable, tending to reduce attendance and wagering, and the tracks heavily taxed have not prospered this year. A reduction of the ilat tax, which is 00 per day for the half-milers and ,000 for the mile courses, will be sought. The larger tracks are dissatisfied with the sliding cale of take-off on the wagering of each race as now interpreted, and this is also to be takn up unless there are ameliorations. It is regarded as possible that some of the scheduled meetings may be canceled.
