OLLIH WOOD closed up fast in the last quarter and finished gamely. PHILANDERER raced into the lead, but tired in the stretch. BENNINGTON finished fast. LENORA 1. displayed the most speed for nearly a half. BRISTOW began well, but Immediately dropped out of forward contention.
