ANONYMOUS, forced back in the early running, steadily improved his position and, finishing gamely, easily ootstayed the others. THE CLOWN, oft slowly, worked his way up on the outside and finished fast through the last eighth. SATELLITE raced forward!- for a half mile, but quit badly in the final drive. RUDDY showed speed. CHILDS PLAY ran well. CHKAPSIDE was forced back in the first eighth. BETTER TIMES did not race well in the going. DIAMOND DICK was sbulned back early and was Hot persevered witli thereafter. HOUDINI saved ground where possible nnd moved up rapidly in the last turn or the Held, but tired in the final eighth. TIIR TROUT was outrun. ..GRENADIER lost his rider at the sixteenth jump. HI LERNER. under slight restraint in the early ; running, gained steadily while r::unding the last turn and moved up menacingly, but tired in the final drive. MARTINGALE was a forward contender for a half mile, but also tired near the end. WILDERNESS, forced to rjee wide throughout, closed a big gap and finished fast. GOSHAWK was close up in the early running, but was beaten after going a good half mile and was not persevered with through the stretch. AUTUMN BELLS began slowly and linished fast.
