WILLIAM TKLL, away forwardly. followed in close pursuit of the leader in the early running and. coming fast through the stretch, took the lead and won drawing clear under hard riding. EASTER BELLS set a fast pace and raced into a long lead, but tired badly iu the final eighth. SWEEP HAWK was a forward contender throughout and finished gamely. SUNDAY BEST raced well and was on the inside all the way. FOREST LORE, off slowly, gained gradually and finished fast. BRILLIANCE began none too well mid moved up fast in the first quarter, tint ran out when entering tlve stretch. The latter, under a hard hand ride, was gaining on the loader at the end. PAltADEK was forced to pull up when JOHN PAUL JONES crossed before him in the rush out of the chute, but gained steadily and outstayed KNOBBIE for third place. ASPIRATION gradually improved Lis position on the extreme outside and, finishing with a belated rush, outstayed QUARREL in the final drive. The latter ran green in the early running, but moved up gamely after entering the stretch. FOREST FIRE closed a big gap. NOEL quit badly after going a half mile.
