Won easily; second and third driving. EVELYN SAWYER, ort forwardly, set a good pace from the start and won off by herself. PANASAIN raced close up throughout and, finishing gamely, outstayed POOR PUSS in the final drive. POOR PUSS began slowly, but moved up on the out ide in the early running and finished fast on the inside. NOON GLIDE closed up ground and raced gamely all the way. KNOBBIE, racing .to his best form, followed the early leaders under slight restraint in the last eighth, then came fast under a vigorous hand ride and headed NATURALIST in the final Ftridc. NATURALIST displayed much speed and, racing WELLFINDER into defeat in the first half mile, took the lead in the stretch and finished gamely when challenged, but could not withstand KNOBIUES challenge. WELLFINDER set a fast early pace and was a game contender throughout. GOOD TIMES closed a big gap in the early running, then tired. Won handily; second and third driving. COSTIGAN raced in closest pursuit of MUSKALLONGE in the early running and, gaining steadily after going seven-eighths, raced into the lead-and won going away. TANGERINE, outpaced from the start, was in close quarters until well into the stretch, then closed up gamely when clear and finished fast. MUSKALLONGE set a good pace for the going and saved ground on all the turns, but tired in the final eighth. SEDGEFIELD was hard ridden throughout and did not respond when called on for a final effort. PRINCE JAMES followed his opponents under restraint in the early running and, moving up gamely on the inside when nearing the stretch, came fast and outfinished BIT OF WHITE in the final drive. BIT OF WHITE showed a good order of speed and, racing into an easy lead in the first half mile, made a resolute finish when challenged, but could not successfully resist the winner. THIMBLE ran well, but tired after making a game rush when entering the stretch. BLAZES set the early pace, but tired badly in the final quarter. Scratched C3995Southern Cross, 102; G4G46Knobbie, 119. KIPPY, away forwardly, raced into the lead on the stretch turn and drew away, but was ridden out at the end to withstand CROCHETS challenge. The latter was crowded back on the turn out of the "backstretch and moved up menacingly on the stretch turn, but met with interference, then came around and finished gamely. HENNA raced on the inside all the way and outstayed BROCADE in the-final drive. BROCADE lucked speed and raced poorly. DREAM STAR showed excellent speed for a half mile, then quit.
