CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Trainer D. B. Miller will make one more effort to train Patches for Alex B. Gordon. The five-year-old son of Ivan the Terrible Beatrice K., has been absent from the race? for two years because of had underpinning. II. T. Palmer has purchased Sister Susie and Miss Kruter from W. Beechwood at private sale and both raced in his colors at Conneaut Lake Wednesday. Beechwood, who is in ill health, left for his home at Coffey-ville, Kan. Mose Goldblatt, whose horses have been here since the close of the Empire City meeting, motored to Louisville from his home in Cincinnati. He has been on the ailing list since returning from New York, but his health Is improving.
