DELAY RACES AT TANFORAN Meetings May Not Open Until New Years Day R. F. Leighton Named Racing Manager. Word reached here today intimating that on account of the delay in construction of the grandstand and clubhouse at Tanforan the meeting at San Francisco will not open until New Years Day instead of on Thanksgiving Day, as originally planned.
