J. L. CARRICKS YEARLINGS E. Cary Ward is breaking seven yearlings, including the half brother to Exterminator, at James L. Carricks farm, near Georgetown, Ky., where they are to remain until after the Lexington fall race meeting, when they will be brought to the Kentucky Jockey Club track. The half brother to Exterminator is the property of W. C. Patterson, Jr., of Jamestown, N. Y., and is by George Smith, winner of the Kentucky Derby, from Fair Empress. He was intended to go to the sales at Saratoga, but when shipping time came he was lame from a nail in one of his feet He is now all right. The other six yearlings are owned by Ward and are as follows : Brown filly, by Mint Lady Michigan, by Master Robert. Chestnut filly, by Ballot Flying Color, by Star Shoot. Chestnut filly, by Ballot Lady Levity, by Gold Spinner. Bay filly, by Jim Gaffney Stellata. by Star Shoot. Chestnut filly, by Jack Atkin Eureka, by Fair Play. Bay filly, by Peter Quince Alex, by Star Ruby.
