JERRY BRITTAN responded gamely when called on and, passing the leaders in the stretch, was going away at the end. PEGGY S. was bumped on the far turn and shuffled back, but came again near the end. FORNOVO finished fastest of all. ANTICIPATE tired after going to the front in the stretch. TITANIA was much used in racing with PETER PIPER and tired. GATH was restrained in the early running and, moving up resolutely on the inside after rounding the far turn, came on the outside of the leaders at the eighth post and, taking the lead, was going away at the end. KENTISH BOY moved up rapidly after entering the stretch, but was tiring badly at the finish. CAVALIER showed the most speed to the stretch and saved ground on the turns, but tired. FEYLANCE made a threatening rush at the head of the stretch, but was tiring at the end. VICE-CHAIRMAN met with early interference and was then taken to the outside and made a wide turn when entering the homestretch, but finished fast. THE LAMB was crowded back when he attempted to go through on the inside on the turn out of the luck-1 stretch. SUN BRAE set a fast pace, but quit after going three-quarters. MARTIN A.
