Won easily; second and third driving. LIWAITO, showing remarkable improvement, set a fast pace from the start and won in a canter. IRISH PAT slipped through on the inside in the stretch and, finishing gamely, passed DREAM DAYS in the final drive. DREAM DAYS began slowly, but secured a clear course in the stretch and moved up gamely to the eighth post, where she tired. LELOBA raced well and was on the outside all the way. OUR ROOTS raced prominently from the start and was second at the sixth jump, where he took the lead and drew clear, but almost fell, then recovered quickly and held the lead until ncaring the final obstacle, where QUECREEK took the lead, but responded resolutely when called on in the final eighth and, passing the leader, won going away. QUECREEK was :i forward contender throughout, jumped splendidly and made a game finish. IRISH SEA was under slight restraint to the eighth jump, where he moved up rapidly on the outside, but tired in the last quarter. REGALIA and NATALIE raced creditably. BLOSSOM TIME took the lead in the first eighth and, setting a great pace under restraint, finished resolutely when challenged and won narrowly under a vigorous hand ride. RUNELISE raced in nearest pursuit throughout nnd made a game effort through the stretch, but could not quite get up. EQUINOCTIAL, off forwardly, displayed much speed and tired slightly in the final eighth, but finished gamely. CHIFFON ran a game race and was not persevered with in the stretch. BUNTING, a rapid beginner, raced into a long lead in the. first eighth and, setting a great pace under restraint until entering the stretch, increased his advantage and won easing up. MAD HATTER, under restraint for the first half mile, moved up rapidly while rounding the turn, but came wide and lost ground, then came again when in the stretch and outfinished BEST PAL. The latter followed the leaders in the early running under stout restraint and, saving ground on the inside on the turns, moved up menacingly on the stretch turn and made a game, but tiring, finish. DOMINIQUE tet a very fast pace in the early running, saved ground on the last turn, held on tenaciously when challenged and outfinished LANIUS in the final drive. LANIUS raced in closest pursuit of the leader throughout and was forced back while rounding the last turn, then finished gamely, but tired in the final sixteenth.
