HORSES FOR HAVRE DE GRACE HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., September 14. Routledge, Reprisal, Two Feathers, Miss Smith, Prince Regent and the veteran handicap horses Slippery Elm and Irish Kiss are the thoroughbreds Robert A. Smith will ship I from Belmont Park to Havre de Grace on Sunday for the fall meeting of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association, whlcn will begin next Wednesday to run ten days. The Havre de Grace meeting will inaugurate fall racing in Maryland. It will be marked by the distribution among horsemen of 25,-000, with the Eastern Shore, Potomac and Havre de Grace Handicaps, each with 0,000 added, as the outstanding features. All of these horses, except Slippery Elm and Irish Kiss, will bear the silks of Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords of Philadelphia. After the Havre de Grace meeting Smith will race at Laurel, Pimlico and Bowie. Miss Smith, a daughter of George Smith, Kentucky Derby winner of 1916, will be the Jeffords candidate in the Eastern Shore Handicap, which will be the feature of the opening days racing next Wednesday. Miss Smith, a winner at Belmont Park last spring, is a good filly over a long distance of ground. She finished second to Nassau in the Champagne at Belmont Park last Tuesday. Prince Regent, another Belmont Park winner of last spring, will start in the Eastern Shore with Miss Smith if his work after lie arrives at Havre de Grace justifies starting him. ft
