H. P. WHITNEYS WINNINGS Thirty-Eight Horses Earn 92,-761 for Master of Brookdale Stud in Racing of 1922. The interesting and closely contested race of 1921 for the premier honors of the American turf between the establishments of Harry Sinclairs Rancocas Stable and that of Harry Payne Whitney, resulting in triumph for the first mentioned, is being repeated again this year. The Rancocas Stable holds the advantage at present, but the "Whitney forces are safely intrenched in second place and in close touch with the enemy. Altogether thirty-eight horses have at one time or another carried the Whitney silks in "battle this year. The result of their campaign on the various tracks of this country and Canada is a total of forty-eight races and 92,761 in money won. Two of the largest contributors to the Whitney total are now in other stables. They are Whisk-away and Goshawk, which, together with Tryster, were sold some time ago. There remain other stars to uphold the reputation of that famous racing establishment and they will undoubtedly make it interesting for the Rancocas and other formidable rivals.
