ESTERO was outrun to the stretch, but closed up with a rush through the last eighth into the lead and was .going away at the end. HILDUR began slowly, but moved up rapidly after rounding the far turn and made a fast and game finish. STOTO raced well and finished fast. CARMANDALE raced himself into exinustibn In setting a fast pace for the first half and quit badly. RUBIEN ran a good lace, but tired after taking the lead in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. SETHS LEMON, after racing in close-up pursuit to the homestretch, wore VESPRA down and outgamed her in the final drive. VESPRA showed the most speed for five-eighths, but tired in the final drive. ARRAGOSA was a forward contender all the way. KIRK LADY saved ground on the turns, but tired in the last sixteenth. SEA TALE fenced beautifully and forced LIEUTENANT SEAS along at a rapid pace for the first two turns of the field and, taking the lead, was under stout restraint at the end. DANDY finished gamely on the outside and outstayed LIEUTENANT SEAS. The latter jumped and- meed well and would have been second but for his rider losing his whip at the thirteenth jump. EXTERMINATOR, after being saved for the first mile, responded quickly when called and, rnshing into the lead, was going away at the end. GUY set a great pace and raced GOLDEN SPHERE into defeat, but ran a good and game race and was hard ridden to outstay BIT OF AVHITE. The latter was in close quuzters next to the rail for the first half mile, then was taken to the outside of the leaders on the backstretch and given a had ride throughout. AQUATIC was messed about and far back for the first half mile, but closed an immense gap and was going, fast on the inside at the finish. SWEET BOUQUET tired after racing into third place in the stretch. SOMME ran away for a mile and a half before the race and TROUBLER ran away a mile and a quarter after the race.
