MY REVERIE took a quick lead find, showing great early speed, set a tremendous pace, but came wide when entering the stretch and, tiring in the final eighth, was doing her utmost to withstand the challenge of BEES WAX. The latter was shuffled back on the turn out of the backstretch, but gradually improved her position and finished with a rush. LAST STRAW raced forwardly for the entire race and had no mishaps. MARY PATRICIA ran well. PEN ROSE ran a fast half and tired. BANTRY PASS was crowded back on the stretch turn. Scratched G512G Bonus, 103. Overweights Polythia, 1 pound. SECOND RACE 5-8 Mile. POW WOW raced in closest pursuit of the winner all the way and made a game finish. RELrilRIZONIA worked her way up on the inside and easily passed PANACHE in the final eighth. Won easily; second and third driving. RUNVISO crosed over in front of the others soon after the start and, racing into a good lead and making the pace fast, held the race safe all the way. GOSHAWK raced in closest pursuit of the leader all the way and made a game finish. McKEE began slowly and was shuttled back in the first sixteenth, but steadily improved his position and outfinished CHERRY PIE. The latter was hard ridden for the entire race, but tired in the stretch. GREAT MAN raced prominently for a half. FRANK G. was eased up when beaten. QUESADA rushed into a long lead and, saving ground on the turns, stayed resolutely in the final drive. VENDOR : was cut off in the stretch, but quickly recovered and- was gaining on the leaders at- the finish. THE PERUVIAN tired in the final eighth. WYLIE had no mishaps.
