D. Carr and Bro.. Went to post at 2:31. At post 1 minute. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driv- I lng. POOR SPORT took the lead at once, set a fast pace and was never menaced. ADVENTURESS lacked early speed, but had gradually improved her position on the inside under vigorous riding and out- : stayed BONFIRE in the final drive. The latter began slowly, but gained steadily on the outside in the final half mile, but ADVENTURESS swerved out through the stretch and BONFIRE swerved in, both bumping the tiring TEMPTRESS, for which both were disqualified. The official placing was POOR SPORT first, DICKS DAUGHTER second and IDLE TOY third. DICKS DAUGHTER showed speed, but tired in the final eighth. IDLE TOY tired in the final quarter. TEMPTRESS raced forwardly for the first half mile, but was tiring and swerving when bumped. LIWAITO unseated Sande while en route to the post and ran off. THE ROLL CALL raced in closest pursuit of the winner and held on gamely in the final drive. COPPER DEMON was hard ridden and under intermittent punishment, but was unable to improve his position. HOREB, close up and under slight restraint in the early running, came fast through the stretch under hard riding and wore TING-A-LING down In the final strides. The latter, of! forwardly, set a good pace for three-quarters, but tired and was swerving out through the stretch, but for which he would have won. STAR COURT saved ground on all the turns and finished gamely. WYLIE ran well, but tired in the final eighth. BRINK closed a big gap. ESQUIRE ran away three-quarters before the start and was pulled up after going the first quarter. TITLE pulled up lame. FLANNEL SHIRT raced in closest pursuit under restraint until well into the stretch, then moved op with a rush and, passing LITTLE CHIEF, drew away into a good lead and won easing up. MISSIONARY began in close quarters and was shuffled back on the backstretch, but gradually improved his ! position when clear and outstayed LITTLE CHIEF in the final drive. The latter set a rapid early pace and tired in the final drive. BRAINSTORM made up ground and finished gamely. STORY TELLER tired 1 in the final quarter. MAIZE, on the inside for the first three-quarters, dropped back on the last turn, but moved I up gamely when called on and easily outstayed the others through the stretch.
