RESULTS OF FRENCH RACING Prix Vermeille to Due Decazes Sainte Ursula Bahadur Wins at Maisons-Laffitte. PARIS, France, October 5. Sundays racing at Longchamps was featured by the victory of Due Decazes Sainte Ursule, bay filly by Saint Ange III. Hush, in the Prix Vermeille, a mile and a half stake of ,000 value for three-year-old fillies. L. Mantacheffs Haroun al Rachid, chestnut colt, by Sardanapale Ardoise, won the Prix de Villebon, a race for three-year-olds at a mile and three-eighths. Sam Bush is now training the Mantacheff horses instead of Bashkirow, whose license was withdrawn as a result of the "doping" investigation. There was a thrilling finish in the Gold Cup at Maisons-Laffitte last week when Mantacheffs Bahadur, three-year-old bay colt, by Sardanapale Amazone ILL, won the Gold Cup by a head from the Due Decazes Harpocrate, with the winners stablemate, Gaurisankar, third, another head behind. In the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte Haynes rode Epinard to victory. The winner is trained by Eugene Leigh. William Woodward is planning to return to the United States this week, sailing on the Berengaria.
