Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. SPEEDY GIRL raced SHUB into defeat In the first half and, taking the lead, drew away after entering the homestretch and won eased up. EAU GALLIE was in close quarters in the early running and finished gamely when clear. LITTLE ANDY was much knocked about all through the running and finished with a rush. TRICKS was badly outrun for the first five-eighths, but came through : the stretch with a rush and would have won in a few more strides. DALTON ran well and outgamed ; DARK AGES for third place. The latter tired after racing into a contending position. P. MOODY quit after showing early speed. SELOTA was in close quarters on the far turn and was taken up. PROCYON, badly .ridden and outrun at the beginning, closed up gronnd and was running fastest of all at the finish. FAIR GAIN ran well and finished fast, CARMANDALE set a terrific early pace, but tired badly in the stretch. BRIUEI VOTER passed GEORGE DUNCAN in the first half and took a clear lead, but could not withstand the winners challenge at the end.
