CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The Latonia stewards directed that the further entry of Furbelow be denied. She has been left at the post in her hist three starts, W. C. Westmoreland and IT. C. Sprague shipped to Atlanta, Ga., where a six-day meeting is in progress, and the stables are working toward Havana. Clarence Turner, contract rider for the J. IC. L. Ross stable, has presented to Reck Creek Park Zoo of Washington, D. C, aj pet black bear. The cub is six months old and has been a popular attraction on all the Canadian tracks this year, where the Ross horses raced. .1. M. Keegan, who is superintendent of the new Kentucky tracks to be operated under the auispices of the Green River Jockey Club, is loud in his praise of the plant and predicts mat everything will be in thorough readiness for the opening of the thoroughbred racing there November 8.
