Won driving; second and third the same. MAWRCORON, suddenly improved, rushed into the lead at once and Avon all the way, but wa3 doing his best to outstay LEGHORN at the end. LEGHORN was taken back while rounding the first turn, then gradually improved his position after going a half mile on the outside and, finishing fast, would have won in a few more strides. SUNNYLAND moved up gamely at the eighth post, but was crowded and unable to secure a clear course. NIGHTBOAT ran well, bat tired when called on for a final effort. Won easily; second and third driving. IIKREMON, after racing in close pursuit of STONE JUG under slight restraint until on the stretch turn, took an easy lead and won as her rider pleased. STONE JUG rushed into the lead and, retting a fast early pace, held on resolutely in the final drive. JACQUELINE JULIAN began slowly, but gained gradually and easily raced into third place in the stretch. ANNA M. had no mishaps. OCCIDENTA showed a Hash of early speed. WYNNEWOOD raced in closest pursuit all the way and, finishing gamely, was wearing the leader down in the closing strides. ST. ALLAN was hard ridden all the way and lacked early speed, but outfinished AHBOW OF GOLD for third place. The latter was pulled up at the start and saved ground when entering the stretch, but tired badly near the end. STAR COURT set the early pace and finished gamely, but could never overtake the winner. JUNO worked her way up on the inside while rounding the last turn and, saving ground, finished fast. LORD HERBERT, under restraint in the early running, met with repeated interference on the last turn and finished with a belated rush when clear. WITCH WORK closed a big cap. STELLA MARIS began slowly and moved up fast when entering the homestretch on the outside, but swerved over toward the inner rail, causing the leaders to pull up, then drew away and held BEAUT-1TUDE safe at the end, but was disqualified. The latter had a clear course all the way and, finishing gamely under hard riding, outfinished MAZEPPA. The latter was a forward contender during the early running and clipped through next to the rail when entering the homestretch and was going to the front when forced to pull up, being directly behind STELLA MARIS at the finish, with her rider unable to assist her. PAY DEAR closed an immense gap. PANACHE and MORMAAV displayed the most early speed, but were forced to pull up when STELLA MARIS crowded them at the eighth post.
