CROCHET showed the most speed for live-eighths and made the pace fast, but was tiring at the end. SCARLET BUGLER finished fast and gamely after making a wide turn into the homestretch. CHERRY TIE was outpaced and dropped back in the early running nnd made a wide turn when entering the homestretch, hut finished with a great burst of ipeed. SOL1SA also closed a gap in the stretch and outgamed the tiring COMIXA. The latter set a great pace for the first half and gave way. AMUSEMENT ran a good race and finished close up. LUNETTA, away well, set a fast early pace and saved gronnd on the farms nnd although weakly ridden, was running fast at the end. DUKE JOHN finished resolutely. SLIPPERY ELM had no mishap.
