SPINNING FLAX began well and raced into the lead, but tired In the final drive. BUDDUGIK saved ground on the last turn after closing a big gap. WRANGLER finished in close quarters. WEST PITTSTON began slowly and closed n big gap, but was in behind the leaders and was unable to secure a clear course. FAPlLLON was away slowly and suffered from related interference. SULTAN set the early pace, then raced forwardly for three-quarters, but quit badly in the final eighth. ETTAHE gradually improved his position and made a game rush at the eighth post, but could not overtake the winner. FUSEE raced next to the rail all the way and made a game finish for third place. KIUAH began slowly and met with repeated early interference, but finished gamely under a poor ride and was going fastest of all in the last strides. WILLIAM OF COROTOMAN showed early speed. HOBKY BAKER ran well to the last eighth. HILLSDALE quit after leading to the last eighth. FELSIDE set a fast pace to the stretch and finished gamely for second place. LADY MYRA gradually improved her position and outfinlshed SUNDAY BEST in the final drive. The latter saved ground when entering the stretch and closed a big gap in the final quarter. BLUB HAWK showed speed for the first quarter, but was taken back on the last turn and rot persevered with afterward. DAN E. OSULLIVAN finished gamely. TI1ESSALY raced wide throughout. WOODLAND raced in spots. OPPERMAN showed excellent speed in paccmaking under restraint for the first three -quarters and, after being passed, came again and was wearing the winner down in the last strides. DUNCECAP closed up steadily in the final half mile and outfinlshed the others. OVERTAKE Raved ground on all the turns and raced forwardly to the stretch, where he tired as if short. ATHELSTAN finished gamely. ALL FAIR showed speed, but quit in the final quarter. FRANK MONROE, off forwardly, was too much used in setting the early pace and tired. TICACEY closed an immense gap and ran a good race. DECKMATE was taken under restraint in the last eighth.
