ENGLANDS LEADING SIRES Tracery Still Weil Up Among the Leaders-Four Stallions Grouped at the Top. Four English sires are grouped in the lead for the years honors. They are Lemberg, Hurry On, Spearmint and Swynford. Tracery, the American, is within striking distance as a leader also. Twenty-five of Tracerys children have won forty-six races this year. Five mares in foal to him are on the sea from Argentina to be sold among the December Newmarket offerings. Captain Fracasse is Tracerys best English winner this year. Each of the four English candidates for the lead have sired winners cf some 65,000. Tracerys total is 25,000. Lemberg, with twenty-five winners of forty-eight races, has Pogrom and Soubriquet as his best Hurry Ons distinguished pair are Captain Cuttle and Town Guard. Hurry Ons oldest are three, yet he ha3 twelve winners of twenty-five races. Spearmints totals are fifteen winners of twenty-five races. His best are Royal Lancer and Spike Island. Swynford has no big winner to his credit, though he has sent out twenty-six to win forty races. These are the figures up to November G. The indications are that Lemberg will lead the years sires, as there are many of his produce in daily action.
