CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF C. K. Harrison, Jr., will have Cahalan trained for steeplechasing next year. H. Tulletts Ikey T. is reported to be in fine fettle at Tijuana and ready for an early start at the Mexican course. Pete Coynes string of an even dozen comprises six yearlings. Included in the band is a brother to United Verde, a splendid-looking colt, by Golden Maxim Yankee Tree, and Coyne has great hopes for him. Trainer Tom Moran is in charge of the ten horses that owner William Martin will begin the next spring season with. Seven of this number are yearlings, which were acquired at Saratoga, They were shipped from the Spa to Lexington to be broken and were taken up upon the arrival of Moran from Pimlico. Martin has gone to his home in Tennessee for a prolonged visit.
