Won handily; second and third driving. MAYFLOWER, after setting the early pace and being briefly headed, passed STANLEY II. midway of the stretch and won going away. STANLEY II. showed much speed and raced into a small lead, but tired when an eighth out and had to be hard ridden to save second place. SYNCOPATION, ufter being in early trouble, made up ground steadily and finished fastest of all. EMMA WELLEU ran a good race from a slow beginning. BROLASKI showed speed for a half. Scratched G7261SI. DECKHAND raced to the front oa the back- i stretch, but was quickly passed by the winner in the stretch and was cased up in the final strides when i it was apparent he was beaten. CAAMANO closed a gap and finished resolutely.
