KITTY CARPENTER raced close up and made a game finish. KITAN, after racing wide on the turns, came fast near the end. JOSIE M. also closed a gap. KOELLIA showed speed, but was tiring fast through the last eighth. BARBARA PALMER was almost left. SAM TROXELL broke his leg in the stretch racing. HERMIS KEMBLE began slowly, but saved ground when coming into the stretch and, finishing gamely under hard riding, got up in the last seventy yards to win drawing clear. CAMOUFLAGE was hard ridden, ran well and finished gamely. WHALEBONE showed the most early speed, but was ridden extremely wide into the stretch and lost ground. MARIMBA raced into contention with a rush in the first half, but began tiring in the stretch. OllALEGGO ran fairly well. CALCUTTA was far back in the carl? running, but came with a tremendous rush through the last eighth and was going fastest at the end. KIRK LADY set a good pace, but tired badly in the stretch. POOR SPORT was done after going a half mile. RAFFLES ran a bad race aud can do much better. CRACK O DAWN raced into the lead and appeared the winner when a sixteenth out. but tired suddenly. WOODTRAP showed sudden improvement and, leading into the stretch, stayed well in the final drive. WADSWORTUS LAST buffered from interference on the first turn. BALLYBELL stumbled and lost his rider in the first eighth.
