MISHAP TO SPANISH MAIZE SAN DIEGO Cal January 27 Trainer Henry McDaniel of the J K L Ross estab ¬ lishment reported that Spanish Maize had spread his foot while training and would be an absentee from the races for the next ten days The crack sprinter Lion dOr from the same barn which suffered a like injury some time back has entirely recovered and is ready to be sent to the races just as soon as the track dries out
