NOTES OF GRAND NATIONAL Shaun Spadah winner of the Liverpool Grand National In 1921 made his reappear ¬ ance in English steeplechasing after a long layoff in the St Leonards Steeplechase at Windsor January 19 He is the top weight in this years Grand National and there was much interest in his showing He was not up to a race and showed little speed but the race was won easily by his stable com ¬ panion Square Dance DanceIt It develops that the reason for the with ¬ drawing of Blazing Corn owned by Hugh Kershaw who won last years Grand Na ¬ tional with Music Hall was forced by in ¬ juries which the horse sustained in winning the Wigston Steeplechase at Leicester He cut himself badly in the running and had to be bandaged before he could go back to the unsaddling inclosure on three legs
