LATE NEWS FROM KEN ¬ TUCKY BREEDING FARMS LEXINGTON Ky February 12 Fred ¬ erick Johnson and Hal Price Headley the owners of Brown Prince have purchased from William B Miller five yearlings by that son of Dark Ronald They are Brown colt from the fast mare Round the World winner of twentylive races by Lackford Bay colt from Blume a stake winning hajf sister to Blue Laddie and Delft by Broom ¬ stick Bay filly from Continental a winner and dam of the winners Realm Kings Cham ¬ pion and Forestall by Yankee Bay filly from Event dam of Yankee Witch and Oc ¬ casion by Adam Brown filly from Blakes lee dam of Thelma Marie and Starlike by Yankee This leaves Miller sixteen year ¬ lings principally by the dead sire Ultimus they being the last of the get of the great son of Commando and collectively worth a small fortune George H Keene fully recovered from his rheumatic trouble after a stay of several weeks at Hot Springs arrived here this morning and this evening journeyed back to Louisville where he has ten horses at Churchill Downs He spent yesterday at the Downs and says his horses are in the best of health and that they have wintered grand ¬ ly The string is composed of Alice Blue Gown Chittagong Flowers of Love Jean Bowdre Miss Muffins Secret Greeting Llewellyn and three twoyearolds as yet un ¬ named all bay colts by Luke McLuke they being from Merode Micaela and Aunt Josie respectively respectivelyClem Clem Pearce is here from E E Marshalls Huntingdon Valley Farm in Pennsylvania with mares that are to be mated with stal ¬ lions in this section sectionDan Dan E Stewart came in from New Orleans this morning to take up eight horses that have been running out and place them in training at the Kentucky Association track trackShallow Shallow Water has a bay filly by The Manager at Senator J W Baileys Donegal Farm FarmPhil Phil T Chinn has for disposal for the ac ¬ count of W R Coe two seasons each to Brown Prince and Omar Khayyam The marcs Coe intended to go to these stallions now will go to The Finn FinnTzarina Tzarina dam of Southern Gentleman this morning fouled a bay colt by Troutbeck The mare is the property of W V Thorons and I the colt is owned by Leonard Sutcliff
