GERMAN RACING SITUATION Readjustment of Racing Dates to Cut Down Cost of Training Saves Sport SportIt It has been said that the cost of training and transportation of race horses in Germany would probably force all of the stables to sell out and that there would be no more races in the home of the inflated mark This is not exactly right rightThe The real situation is this the racing dates this year will be almost the same as last season except for tbe fact that several meet ¬ ings at points far from the training centers for example that of Munich have been abandoned These meetings will be replaced by the revival at Hoppegarten where there are a thousand horses in training and at Karlshorst where the steeplechase stables are quartered quarteredGrunewald Grunewald which has been the chief rac ¬ ing point for several years will suffer a curtailment of dates this year A twenty car horse train from Hoppegarten to Grune ¬ wald would now cost two million marks Viator in Le Jockey
