DR HSCKMANS SPEED Brings Williams Brothers Victory in Havanas Sunday Feature Colossus Bests Currency Darn ley in Easy Triumph Distin ¬ guished Persons Present HAVANA Cuba March IS With only one more Sundays racing before the present meet ¬ ing at Oriental Park comes to a close Ha ¬ vana race goars took advantage of the occa ¬ sion and turned out in large numbers this afternoon The racing conditions were ideal both in regard to the weather and track The program was well balanced and had as an at ¬ traction the Northward Handicap a dash of five and a half furlongs which brought to ¬ gether a field of fast sprinters and while there were only four starters they were well matched Speculation was keen with Dr Hickman and Belle of Elizabethtown the most fancied fanciedIn In the running Dr Hickman made a show of his opponents and set a fast pace from the start Rounding the far turn he drew away into a commanding lead and entering the homestretch had a three lengths advantage but was tiring at the end and Burns had t shake him up to stall off Belle of Elizabeth town to beat her by a length George Kuffan vvas a distant follower until the final eighth but gained ground rapidly and was going much the fastest at the finish He was beaten a length for second place placeElmont Elmont started out like a winner in the first race and outran the others from the start He sprinted into a commanding lead entering the homestretch but began to weaken and Dairyman moving up fast as ¬ sumed an easy lead in the final eighth and won going away by three lengths from Short Change which finished fast next to the in ¬ side rail and beat Orchid King by a length for second place placeEASY EASY FOU WHISPERING WHISPERINGWhispering Whispering made a runaway of the second race
