Alice Blue Gown, with Miss Muffins as a companion, worked easily ■ quarter in 25s. half in 51 5 and three-quarters in 1 :l=f,. Chittagong and Flowers of Love worked together, the Quarter in 21. half in 1: .-,. three-quarters in 1:1C% and mile galloping in 1 :45Vs- Al Kirby sent Donegal, the Jefferson Livingston Derby representative, a quarter in 25. half in 52. three-quarters in 1 :19 ■-. and mile in 1 :17. Prince K. was given an "opener" of three-cighths of ■ mile in 35. He will be asked to go fast tomorrow for a longer route. Dord Granite also was given an "opener" of three-eighths in 1$. The Whisk Broom II. colt wore no blinkers today and acted kindly before he was sent on his journey. He was under restraint all the way and was just cantering al the end. Firebrand and Buster worked together a mile in 1 :4T. The McGee colt also good and fit. only cantering throughout his woik. Dr. Clark showed that he is going to be a hard horse to beat in the handicaps hi.-year, when he moved along for three quartets in a frictionless manner, going the first quarter in 24, half in •$%, and b.ree-quarters in 1 :1640. Madden has announced that he will have two of his best of four Derby eligibles here in the hands of "Butch" Covington to prepare for the Derby. Work watchers say these two will be Ptlntstone and Dozer-. Mr. Madden also says he will leave several others with various trainers to race at the [ Downs during the spring meeting.
