Kyne, who is promoting the race meeting at Reno this year, has gone to the Nevada metropolis to prepare for the sport. The ; start will he made June 9 to continue for twenty-five or thirty days. Kyne is a San ] Francisco business man, with hosts of friends [ among horsemen in every section of the country. More than 400 horses have been shipped from Tijuana to Rene for the meeting, which promises t be the best ever staged at the mountain town. Nearly all of the large stables put their horses on the cars for Reno. Kyne was at Tijuana all week following the close at the border track and found it easy to get plenty of material for his meeting. Most of the jockeys will go North in time I for the opening. An innovation that is causing much favorable comment among race followers is the announc ment of six stakes to be run 1 lat the met ting. The features will have valines ranging from |1,M* to ,500. The races of the claiming kind will be worth from 50 • iiip. Overnight handicap and allowance races of good value also will be carded. Three thousand dollars or more will be given each 1 day of the meeting. Horses were shipped from Tijuana all th. High the met k and Friday a special train 1 lief twenty-live cars took away the largest t consignment. Oats, hay and other feed for the gallopers have been stored at Rem for the Hiorougli- bredl and will be sold to the owners at cost. .
