• ; ] [ THOROUGHBRED HORSE ASSOCIATION TO MEET LEXINGTON. Ky.. May 1. —The annual meeting of members of the Thoroughbred Horse Association will be held in the Palm room at the Phoenix Hotel in this city Wednesday evening at 8 oclock, when matters of general interest to horsemen will be discussed. At this meeting also four members of the board of directors will be chosen for terms of three years each, and officers for the ensuing year will be elected. Inder the by-laws the president cannot succeed himseif. The retiring president is Arthur B. Hancock, owner of the Claiborne and Ellerslie studs. The expectation is that "olonel Edward R. Bradley, owner of Idle Hour Stoe k Farm, will be the new president. He is now concluding his term as vice-president. The Thoroughbred Horse Association was organized in 1916 and has exercised a sustaining influence in the breeding and racing of thoroughbred horses on this continent. Its members are residents of many states of the Union, likewise Canada, Cuba and Mexico, and they largely are men of affairs in their communities. Thos. B. Cromwell has been secretary of the organization since its inception. «
