RIALTO REACHES LATONIA Greentree Stable Crack Sure to Start in Latonia Championship. My Own In Fine Form In Memoriam Training Well Zcv Expected Friday Morning, t LATONIA, Ivy., Nov. 1. Added interest to the already feverish attention directed in the coming decision in Latonia Championship Stakes, Saturday, was injected with the arrival this morning of the Greentree stables colt Rialto, winner last Saturday of the Washington . Handicap, in which he triumphed over some of the best handicap racers that could be mustered at the Laurel track. His arrival here marlis the second of the easterners pretenders to the three-year-old crown, to reach the scene of battle, My Own having come in state yesterday. The only absentee now is Zev and he is cn route according to late advices from the East. Rialto was shipped in good style and unloaded without mishap and quartered in one of the spacious stalls of Mose Goldblatts stable. Rialto came in charge of trainer James Rowe Jr., who will supervise his final training and saddling in the big race. The gallery that witnessed Rialtos debarkation, while not as extensive as that greeting My Own, was considerably numerous at that and required several detectives to clear a route for him. An air of confidence seemed to prevail among the colts handlers and "young Jimmy" expressed himself as well pleased with the condition of the colt and that he will not be wanting when the crucial question is asked of him Saturday. MY OWN OUT FOR GALLOP. An air of excitement and expectancy pervaded the early trial watchers at -the track this morning when Admiral Cary T. Graysons My Own came out on the track accompanied by his stable mate, Scotch Broom. Trainer Brooks supervised the gallop and jockey McLane had the mount. The big crowd was somewhat disappointed when no fast trial was indulged in, the exercise of the pair being confined to a brisk gallop of one mile. "My Own is well keyed now," said Mr. Burch, "and does not need any strenuous workout beyond a limbering up gallop to put him in the best shape that he can be gotten in." An air of confidence also pervades In Memoriams camp. In Memoriam will be given his final "prep" tomorrow and will be allowed to -idle thereafter. Horsemen and race goers here are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of Zev. He is said to have left New York today and is due to arrive tomorrow. With him will come the two-year-old Stanwix and another companion. Trainer Hildreth, in his message to Col. Winn today, made a request for five stalls and also asking that three be bedded. S. C. HILDRETH ENTERS ZEV. Trainer Hildreth also took the precaution that there could be no doubt of Zevs assured starting in the Latonia Championship Stakes by requesting that Mr. Winn enter Zev in the usual way required by the Kentucky rules. This means that Zevs name Avill go in the entry box Friday morning at the accustomed time of entry for the next days racing. Mr. Hildreth also requested that Stanwix be entered in the two-year-old dash carded for Saturday. Jockey Sande, who will ride Zev, is expected to come here with Mr. Hildreth tomorrow. With the approach of the day of the race telegrams and letters are literally flooding the offices of the Kentucky Jockey Club with requests for reserved space. The different railroad companies advise that all their trains reaching here have been forced to put on extra equipment to handle the big throngs. Numerous special trains and private cars will also bo utilized. Several of the leading motion picture corporations sent general manager Matt J. Winn today messages of appreciation for his stand of permitting all screen corporations to take scenes of the race and incidents attending without charge. While opinion between My Own and Zev seems to be fairly well divided, indications, however, point to Zev being the favorite. In Memoriam is favored over Rialto.
