Twenty Years Ago Today Chief Turf Events of Nov. 3, I9D3. Racing at Aqueduct and Latonia. In the steeplechase at Latcnia Monday Faraday Jr. bolted at the third jump and scraped Monahans leg so sharply that he pulled up and dismounted at the last jump. Triso fell, turned a complete somersault, relied over jockey G. Wilson, knocked out three of his teeth, cut his right eye and injured his hip. Blue Mantle, which will be remembered by racegoers of several years ago and which ran some creditable races, is now doing service with a huckster wagon near the Worth track and pulled many a load of paraphernalia to the special train which left for New Orleans this morning. Richard T. Wilsons Carbuncle, placsd in the Election Day Handicap of ,500, added to his owners credit at Aqueduct, when, coming from sixth place during the last furlong, he overhauled the others and won by half a length from Stamping Ground and Lux Casta. The conditions were for all ages, at one and one-eighth miles. Horsemen now in Chicago contemplating spending the winter months and deriving a livelihood by racing their horses at the Crescent City, were astir early this morning, superintending the loading of their horses on the special train at the Worth track. A dozen Arms-Burton palace horse cars had been backed to the siding during the night and everything apparently had been put in readiness for an early start.
