EVELYN began "well and. saving much ground on the turns, finished fast and outstayed MABEL C. The latter was away slowly and had to race wide for the first eighth, but came gamely through the stretch. NEAT GIRL ran well from a fcrward beginning, but tired near the end. TAMBON began forwardly, and showing a geed order of speed in the going, raced into the lead on the last turn and, holding it well in the final drive, outstayed GOLDMARIC. The latter raced prominently for the entire way and made a game finish. APOLOGY was hard ridden and gained steadily through the last eighth and was going fastest at the finish. ATTILTA began slowly and was ridden wide on the turns, but closed a gap. BELLE K. closed a gap and tired in the last eighth. SOLISA. racing in improved form in the gcing, came with a rush just before reaching the stretch, but : was ridden wide and lost some ground, then came again in the stretcli into the lend and won going away. LORD GRANITE saved much ground on the turns and, standing a hard drive gamely, got up in the last stride for second place. THIMBLE was rushed into the lead and subjected to much hard riding, disposing of RED ARROW and LORD GRANITE and tired badly near the end. PETE FOY ran a poor race and was far back for the first three-quarters, then gained and can do much better. J UNO tired after going three-quarters. SLING meed prominently during the e entire race, but began tiring in the last eighth and just lasted to hold third place. WAYWASSAMO 3 closed a gap in the last quarter.
