W. H. KARRICKS BIG STABLE Well-Known Trainer Has Thirty-Three Horses at Belmont Park. Twenty-Eight of Them Arc Owned by "V. 11. Coc and Five by the Oncck Stable of II. K. Knapp. NEW YORK, N. Y., Jan. 9. W. H. Karri ck is wintering twenty-six horses for W. R. Coe and five for the Oneck Stable of H. K. Knapp at Belmont Park. The horses are all in good condition and trainer Karricki plans to leave next Monday for Cuba, where his son, Kenneth, is campaigning a few of the Coe horses at Oriental Park. There are twenty-one two-year-olds in the Coe stable, and eighteen of them are the produce of the Coe ranch at Cody, Wyo. The place was formerly called the Shoshone Ranch, but Mr. Coe recently renamed it. Now it is the Hoodoo Stud. Two of the Coe horses are in Kentucky. Elvina will be prepared in the Blue Grass State for the Kentucky Oaks in the spring. One two-year-old filly, a daughter of Poly-melian Vale Royal, was left in Kentucky to recover from the bite of a snake. She has been named Snakebite. This filly also is a product of the Hoodoo Stud. The Finn, which Mr. Coe purchased last year, is now one of the most popular stallions in the country because of the exploits of Zev, and his "book is full for the season cf 1924. A number of applications have been received for 1925 bookings to him. The jumper Corfie, which was drawn by Mr. Coe in the international steeplechase subscription, is in the Karrick barn at Belmont Park, but he will be turned over to a steeplechase trainer before the season opens.
