JOCKEY PARKE TAKEN SICK NEW ORLEANS, La., Jan. 16. Jockey Ivan Parke, .who has been riding under a severe handicap for the last few days, suffering with a heavy cold, was instructed by his doctor to absent himself from the saddle today. Due to his inability to ride his engagements the stewards permitted the waiving of apprentice allowances on those mounts ho was engaged to ride to enable competent nders to be substituted.
