SHORT GRASS STUD DEAL Mrs. Emil Herz Now Sole Owner of Noted Breeding Establishment in Kentucky. LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 17. Emil Herz, upon his return today from New York, announced that the stock of Joel Jacobs and Walter Lisberger in the Short Grass Stud Corporation has been purchased by Mrs. Emil Herz and that she now is the solo owner of one of the best farms in the Blue Grass region, together with the stallion Short Grass, ten yearlings and twenty-four mares, six of them young marcs not bred and fourteen of the others in foal to the best horses in this section. It is one of the largest deals that has been made in some time in thoroughbred horse breeding circles and represents a value of approximately 00,000.
