Won easily; second and third driving. FRANCHISE raced into the lead when entering the stretch and drew away in the last eighth. HILLORO close up in the early racing, bolted to the extreme outside when entering the stretch and forced SUZUKI out with him, then tired in the final drive, but finished gamely. BLUE BONNET began slowly, but gained steadily and finished fast on the inside. SUZUKI was racing prominently when she was fcrced out. FLY LADY ran well. FEAR quit after going a half mile in the lead. BEN BOLT raced forwardly on the inside in the deep going for a half mile anil tired, but finished resolutely. COL. PAT raced wide on the stretch turn into the best going, where ha finished fast. MONTILLO moved up on the outside of BOXWOOD after rounding the far turn and, taking the lead, drew away in the stretch and held NEAPOLITAN safe in the final drive. The latter came very wide at the head of the stretch and finished gamely but tiring. 350XWOOD set the early pace, but was made too much use of and tired. HAMAN tired in the stretch drive. ROMPING MARX was repeatedly bumped by RANDEL and sulked. CHARLES WHITNEY fell to his knees at the start and was then eased up.
