ARUNGTON TO CALIFORNIA New York Owner Leaves to Visit His Horses at Tijuana Sells Juvenile to George Read. NEW YORK, N. Y., Jan. 2S. Edward Arlington, whose horses are racing at Tijuana in charge of trainer Kimball Patterson, was a passenger for California on the Kroonland. He will proceed to Tijuana for a long-delayed vacation. Before leaving Mr. Arlington reported the sale of Old Broadway, the two-year-old colt by Friar Rock Berrills Choice, to George Read. The youngster has been turned over by his new owner to J. J. Troxler at New Orleans to be trained. The horses which Mr. Arlington has at Tijuana in charge of Kimball Patterson arc Satellite, a four-year-old ; the veteran sprinter, Dominique, now seven years old, and three three-year-olds, Parvenue, First Lady Harding and Countess Claridge. Karnak, another three-year-old, is turned out at Baileys farm. He will be trained by S. J. Lawler when the eastern season opens. Karnak is a son of Peter Pan and Paint Brush. He is a big slashing colt, and much is expected of him.
